Sherwood House celebrates Afternoon Tea Week
Residents at Sherwood House Residential Care home celebrated Afternoon Tea week with a variety of activities.
At the beginning of the week we delivered themed invitations to join us for cream tea in the dining room with a sing-a-long. The residents loved receiving the invitations and we had great attendance. The smell of freshly baked scones certainly stimulated some appetites too!
We also hosted an afternoon tea quiz which is always popular and encourages some friendly competition as well as plenty of laughs. For the residents that didn’t join us, Lisa our Activity Coordinator arranged for cream teas to be delivered to their bedroom and she organised a one to one session to complete the quiz together so they still felt part of the celebrations.
The week gave us the chance to celebrate the great British tradition of afternoon tea and was a great excuse to drink tea and eat scones!
